I'm trying to play music from my tablet through my laptop headphone jack. Not getting any sound, changed various settings and checked the volume, still not getting any sound.
Not a simple way to do that. Laptop would need a line level input. You would have to have some audio software running that could monitor the input in real time. I'm not sure what the point would be.
Can't you play any files or stream from the laptop directly when you want to connect your headphones to it. There is software to let you use android apps on your laptop. http/www.greenbot.com/article/3129740/android/the-best-programs-to-run-android-apps-on-your-windows-pc.html

Thanks. I could of sworn my old laptop used to let me do that. I use a dj app on my tablet and it will will not let me record my mixes, so I was looking for a way to record them using my laptop.
