Trying to Upgrade Laptop Ram, Won't Boot

Hi All,

I have purchased some new laptop ram for my Asus X55L notebook. It currently has 4 GB and want to double it to 8 GB. After I install the new ram, the pic fails to boot, does not even get to the bios.

Current ram is labeled as SK hynix 4GB 1Rx8 PC3L - 12800S - 11 - 12 - B4 - HMT451S6AFR8A - PB N0 AA 1347C

New ram is Kllisre 8GB DDR3 1600 PC3-12800S-CL100

Thought I would ask the question to anyone who may know more about this subject before I send it back... thanks in advance!
