I saw the response to this question from another person.

I purchased these exact items from the links provided. However, it still isn't working. Do I need anything else to purchase? Or do I need to change the sound settings or go into kodi to change settings or make sure it is set up a particular way? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Can you start with your question? What is the equipment involved?

The items you've listed - these are just a 3.5mm-to-coax adapter, and a simple coax cable.

The cable you link to is a digital audio cable with RCA plugs. The adapter would convert that to a mono mini plug (not common for digital).
If you are trying to connect that to an analog audio input it won't work even though the connectors will allow you to make the connection. You would probably need a DAC to convert the digital to analog
