Do Fox, Viacom, and Discovery think people will subscribe to their offerings on an iPad app as well as pay subscription fees to the cable operator? Probably.

Drop them entirely, nearly every channel mentioned is just garbage anymore anyway. Replace MTV with an actual music video channel and viewers shouldn't care, I don't think the 30th year of real world really matters to anyone.

Fox, Viacom and Discovery need to get with the program. Why the hell are they demanding that TWC pull their channels? Are they stupid? They should be attempting to negotiate a profitable deal with TWC so these channels can be streamed over the internet.

Junk as they may be, they are some of the highest rated cable channels available. It's TV, since when has TV not been full of junk programming?

If they can get some deals worked out this would be a pretty cool feature, especially if there were some DVR pause features available. When's that iPad 2 come out again?

Didn't TWC have another programing issue with Fox within the last few years. If I remember correctly, Fox was threatened to not renew their contract with TWC if TWC did not pay higher rates. That additional cost would have raised the subscribers' rates.

All that means is that there are a lot of mindless idiots out there watching mindless reality shows like Jersey Shore. Nothing new about that.

Actually there are plenty of great educational and entertaining channels out there like TLC, Discovery, NatGeo, History, History HI, Military, etc.
