These obviously weren't Time Warner Cable subscribers in west texas, I'm not sure they could have downloaded a full Hi-Def pornographic movie using their pathetic bandwidth cap.

Well, my bandwidth cap is only 100GB, but my ISP doesn't care if I go 500GB a month. ^_^
I have had nothing but great service with TWC, in general for 6 years. However, TWC has been doing this kind of thing for years now...it can't last forever...sadly
Anyone willing to take this sort of case is about a sharp as a butter knife so it really doesn't surprise me how often the anti piracy groups or even single people fall flat on their face.
In Europe there haven't been any caps on broadband for years now. 10-15$/month still buys you only a few GB over cellular but over DSL or cable you'll get a few mbps with no cap. 120 mbps downloads costs ~40$ and are available only in cities

That sounds pretty good to an american like me. I pay $40 a month for 12mbs (i get 20mbsfor some reason though)
"I was born for [these kind of cases]," Stone said. "I put myself through school sucking dick at the local truck stop and I must have swallowed thousands of gallons of jizz before my law degree. I honestly think it's my gay porn background that has saved me from making the same mistakes."
What goes around comes around. Dorks like this Stone character are trying to slap the million dollar lawsuits on people that can't pay them and make their lives hell. I hope many hackers take note of this "Evan Stone" name and break his bank so to speak.
Sounds like this guys is trying to make a case that use of torrent constitutes a conspiracy to commit theft. He was trying to make the point that these people were acting a group rather than an individuals. I'm no attorney (unless watching Law and Order counts) but this might give them the ability to charge each individual for the crimes of the entire group. Pushing up the fines and possibly including jail time rather than going after some one for the cost of a single DVD
WOW!!! This must be the only article to have such a lot of SPAM comments............ Amazing
I wonder if the FBI receives so many SPAMs in a day.....???
These idiots should be suing the SPAM guys or nets that send SPAMs wasting such a lot of internet time and bandwidth.......
You do realize that Evan Stone is in fact a porn star and not a lawyer, right? He's actually in the movie in question. I wonder what else Tom's got wrong?
