Unlocked Phone Data Usage

So, I recently bought an unlocked Samsung Note 4 and put it on At&t, replacing my old Samsung Galaxy S3. Here's the thing, I travel throughout the week using mostly cell tower service. I seem to be using 50 to 75 percent more data doing the same things. Do you think At&t has the unlocked phone set up for different consumption than an At&t phone?

You should have a data plan usage option to check in the phone, see what is using data and how much. It could be you have something turned on to sync on data plan vs WiFi that you had turned off on the old phone, or that the new phone has some program that is using data that the old one did not. There should be a data saver mode on the phone, turn that one and see what happens.

Thanks for your reply.Yeah, I previously did all that you suggested. It does seem that the GPS in this phone consumes more data, as when using Google Maps. Still wondering if At&t is manipulating usage for unlocked phones.
