Hi, I use Sound Blaster ZxR card from creative and use DT 990 pro headphones from beyerdynamics. These sound great, but I got them a few years ago and wanted to see if theirs some new tech that would make my gaming a bit better.. Every review I look at has a different headset then the other and I'm just confused on what to purchase. Any recommendations from a good audiophile?
I'm looking for comfort for long gaming sessions, and immersion mostly. I'll be using these at my house so I don't care if the sound escapes the headphones, but I merely just want really really good sound. My price point would be $500 MAX, if it's worth spending spending more then I can justify it. I don't really listen to music with headphones, so that's not important. My ZxR supports Dolby and DTS as well.
I also don't need an extra mic as my ZxR card supports one that works very good.
