So here's the story.
Before updating my Macbook Pro to Yosemite, I would always used CMD+F1 to get the main desktop displayed on my external monitor because the MBP's screen is broken.
Now, after updating to Yosemite, when I do this, the external monitor only displays black, and my mouse can enter it from the left side. I can see my mouse on it, so there's definitely video output, but how can I get my main desktop displayed on it? Any tips/hotkeys that I'm unaware of in this new OS? Can't find anything online.
Thanks, will choose best answer.
