Dear all,

I'm interested to upgrade my ASUS k50id notebook.
Till now, I upgrade my RAM from 2+1=3GB to 2+4=6GB, new HDD from 320Gb to 750GB, my processor from Core 2 Duo T6670 to Core 2 Duo T9100.

Now I want to have usb 3.0 port - I need suggestion for this and I want to have i-series processor?
And I want to know can I find better bios from v.217?

p.s. This is my notebook:

Thank you!

Notebook motherboards are custom designed for the specific notebook chassis. You won't be able to find a new motherboard that fits into your old chassis. If you want to upgrade to an i-series CPU, you'll need to buy a new notebook.

My new processor is Intel Core 2 Duo Laptop CPU Processor T9600 2.8GHz 6M 1066Mhz QAER, not T9100!!!
Sorry about my mistake.

Ok. Please can you tell me, is it worth to upgrade my ram from 2+4=6GB to 4+4=8GB ram?
What is the different from 6GB to 8GB?

Are you running a 64-bit version of Windows? It could be worth spending the money to upgrade, but I probably wouldn't. Most applications are 32-bit anyway and can't access more than 4 GB of RAM. With a machine this age, I doubt 6GB of RAM is a bottleneck as it is.
