Upgrade Yamaha Receiver

Hi, I have the high end rx-v2065 receiver from a few years back...No 4k, but 130 watts all channels. Got Polk and Klipsch speakers. Just got an LG Oled 65 and right now using optical for sound when watching a good movie. Is it really worth it to buy a mid range Yamaha receiver like 95-100 watts a channel with 4k? Not spending 1000 bucks or more any more. Not worried about the switching for now. Just wondering how much better surround I will get with a newer cheaper model. Will there be a big difference. I love my Yamaha, especially for music. Thanks!

As for sound, do not expect to improve. The watts "weigh". Do not expect a light receiver to give you what you have now.

I was looking at last years model Aventage rx-a770 for under 400 now.
