Friends mother has ordered a TOSHIBA Satellite C855D-S5315 It has a FM1 (APU) Socket, and a 18w chip (AMD E-300). I have tried looking everywhere to see what the maximum CPU watts the mainboard would take so I could get the biggest chip for it, but could find no information.

So I posted this here to see if you guys could help.

Looking for the fastest chip this laptop will take with out frying it.

I figured if anything would work it would be the AMD E-450. But that cpu is not what Im looking for, hoping to be able to use something in the 65w range.

Solution
Cant upgrade laptop cpu's, they are 99% of the time soldered to the motherboard, so they cant be removed. So like morgan said, it is what it is.

e300's are almost always soldered on so you can't upgrade it

it likely won't support a4/a6/a8 in bios anyways (though those chips are usually socketed
