Upgrading: Studio 1440 vs Inspiron 1545

Which could I upgrade for the best performance.s.

So far all i know is the Inspiron could do a Intel Core2 T9800 with 8gb of DDR 2.

And I know little about the studio other than it has one slot for a DDR 3

Need full details and models of the systems there are many versions of those basic part numbers. I'd sell both and get one better system.
