Upgrading from my 20-30" CRT TV to a HDTV. I've got two sets in mind so far.

One: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-HLT5087SAX-Slim-Engine-1080p/dp/B000N50RLO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=audio-video&qid=1202435373&sr=1-1

Two: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LNT4665F-1080p-LCD-HDTV/dp/B000NVLQ72/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=audio-video&qid=1202434413&sr=1-2

But I have no actual experience with either LCD or DLP so I'm kinda having a hard time choosing between them. From what I know of LCD's though, I'm kinda leaning towards the 50" DLP. (Note that I intend to use this mostly for console gaming.)

I am a dealer for Samsung and run a home theater business.

I will take DLP any day of the week, Unless you need a flat, mountable tv, the DLP's are very nice.

When we do Front Projection we go DLP all the way, SIM2 is our preferred brand, but very pricey.

Samsung's are solid

Also, I'll probably be sitting roughly 7 feet away from the tv set itself. Will that present problems with the 50" DLP?
