Hi there,

I'm about to buy a laptop (https://www.gigabyte.com/Laptop/P17F-v7#kf) and I was wondering if this laptop is good for gaming? if so, how good? can it handle high intense games?.Also, is this laptop good for running Photoshop and video editing software such as Premiere Pro and Sony Vegas?.

Will this laptop overheat fast? How many (Close guess) programs will it take to make the system run slow?.

Looking forward to your guys response.

Thanks

it is the lowest mobile gtx 900 series graphics card, even my laptop with 940mx that only like 1-2 series under it cant really run new titles games at low settings smoothly, those type of vram it uses and the vram size doesnt always guarantee how well it perform, clock is the thing that matter

it should do rendering stuff good, gpu can be used for acceleration if the software allow, but it wont be so good for gaming, the graphics card is not so powerful. for overheat im not sure, it is a single cooler laptop, the gpu is not so powerful so it shouldnt made too much heat, but the processor is pretty powerful, as long as the cpu and gpu not at full 100% load at same time i guess it wouldnt be a big problem. nowadays laptop will throttle if it overheat or shutdown. programs will it take to make it slow depends on what programs are you using and how heavy is it

Hey,

Thanks for the response.

How come the graphics card is not that powerful for gaming? It says it's graphics card is NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 950M Gaming Graphics GB GDDR5 VRAM ". How do you know if this graphics card is not powerful for gaming?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks
