USB keyboard won't uninstall

Hello,
I have an Acer Aspire One D255 running win7 Starter (factory installed). At home, I usually plug a USB keyboard into it. Now I'm on the road, and I can't uninstall the USB keyboard. Or, when I do, it reinstalls itself. How can I get the default keyboard to work properly?
