I have Klipsch KLF10 which are rated at 8ohms and now i want a reciever which is best suited for this type of speakers. Mostly the recievers in the market are 6ohms. Can i use it? The reciever I am looking at is ONKYO TX-8150. Please help.

You lose around 30% output per channel running 8ohm speakers on a 6 ohm amp.

It is however perfectly safe & a normal thing to do.

The opposite scenario - 4 or 6 ohm speakers on a 8 ohm amp is not recommended at all.

The onkyo should do fine with those klipsch floorstanders.

Considering the output capable by that onkyo, 8ohm speakers will be fine. With my old onkyo and the kx12 II floor speakers I have, the 100w per channel is far greater than my windows can handle. I've never been able to take the receiver over 50
