Using a laptop screen with a desktop monitor controller

hi everyone i have an asus pro55s screen that is pretty much useless after the motherboard shat itself and after many hours of searching the internet for cheap ways to use it as an external monitor im out of luck but then it came to me could i use the controller from a cracked external monitor and wire it to work with this screen any thoughts or diagrams out there? it would be much appreciated

The answer is no... IN THEORY its possible but in practice it would cost MORE than a brand new Monitor...
