Greetings,

I just got a new laptop not too long ago. its an MSI PE62VR (intel core i7 7700hq, Nvidia GTX 1060m), which has enough power for me to do my school work.
I always used a second monitor to get my college work done, it's really nice to have two screens to work with multiple virtual machines. My concern is, that the second monitor is using the Nvidia card for display. I know for a fact that the Intel HD 630 can have up to two multiple displays. I don't know if this would affect the device's life (decreasing it). I had previous laptops with dedicated GPU (one with a GTX 950m) and it wasn't being used for display, neither for another laptop with a GTX 1050m. Is there a way to switch this? I've checked the BIOS, graphics control panel for both Intel and Nvidia, and I can't find an option for this.

any help will be greatly appreciated.
thanks!!!
