Using my external sd card

I have a Trio G4 android tablet. I need to set my external SD card as my default storage or for downloading. Pleas tell me how to do this. It's a 32GB mini card for tablets. Thank You ..... Suz

I have seen all kinds of ways that show me how to do it, but none tell me how to do it for a TRIO !!!!
