Have a Harman/kardon Avr 20 II stero receiver, no HDMI, and only composite cables (red, white and yellow).
Currently connected to TV, satellite dish, CD player, and older blu-Ray player.
Just bought new blu-Ray player, which is HDMI, and no composite cable "ports".
When I connect the new blu-Ray to TV with HDMI I get picture, but only sound from actual TV, not through stereo speakers.
Can you suggest how to get sound from blu-Ray using stereo receiver?
Can the stero receiver be connected to TV only and get sound for blu-Ray and satellite?
Please keep in mind that the lingo needs to be simplified, and if a solution, in a very simple schematic of what should be connected to which device.
Thank you.

Most TV's have Audio out Composite still, or Optical and some have analog 1/4 phone "Headphones", you have to go into the Menu and change the default fro the on board speakers to the other Output. What Make and Model TV do you have?
