hi folks

Everybody has used his laptops VGA output to connect it to a TV or monitor.
but what I really wanted to know is how you just could connect two laptops / laptop<-desktop to each other using only the vga cable and the VGA port like
http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQuc3J1qrjngrAKxm34gcLC00fmldXxVIOqzpEfrg04_DwNOWioXQ

so you would use the screen of the other laptop as a external screen.
so is this possible ?

You would say just hook two laptops through VGA with each other. but I am afraid of a fried Videocard so

so something like this http://forums.cnet.com/7723-7587_102-148463.html

but those solutions are no good for me

I hope you understand me

dont grammernazi me biatches

VGA ports are output only - you cannot connect 2 outputs together.

One interface has to be "output" and one interface has to be "input".

You cannot mix "input with input" or "output with output". Simple as that.

(desktop/laptop) VGA output --> VGA input (HDTVs, LCD monitors)
