Hoping someone in this group can tell me if this is possible.

Besides using the limited number of ringtones available from Verizon's text
messaging, is there anyway I can send ringtones from my PC to my phone over
the air or via cable. The guy at the Verizon store said the cable is only
for using the phone as a modem...not as a data cable between PC and phone.

I also tried the Verizon wireless Pix Place, but that didn't work or I did
it wrong. Any help or a final "you just can't do that" would be helpful. I
have a great 007 midi I want to use and just can't get it to my phone.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure if the Verizon guy you spoke to was correct about your cable,
Todd.
Are there cables that serve for modem purposes only? If you get sync
software (I have Datapilot from Susteen Software) you can use a cable
(perhaps the one you have) to sync your contacts and calendar between
phone and desktop. You can also set up your phone as a modem through that
program.

As Wireless Guy says, the v60s does not support downloading ringtones or
wallpaper (which are supported by some of the sync software programs,
including the aforementioned Datapilot). You probably are aware that you
can manually enter your own ring tones on the v60s. The Datapilot software
will transcribe for you what supposedly to enter to replicate a midi or
ringtone file...but in the couple I've tried, it has sounded horrible.
