vaio currently running ubuntu cant reinstall windows 8

Vaio taken over by ubuntu windows 8 backup disc unable to find device drives to reinstall win 8.

Sorry i dont understand. can you specify your problem? you have Ubuntu and you want to install windows?

Have you tried installing Windows by inserting your disc first, and rebooting your machine, setting your BIOS to boot off your optical drive? That way you should be able to run the Windows installer, otherwise there maybe runtime issues under Ubuntu.
