very slow download speed on IDM/Browsers...fast on utorrent

hello Community.

if anyone have any solution for this issue kindly share it with us

i been using the same laptop with the same internet speed/modem..ect
but couple days ago i started to notice the download speed getting very low while skyping or watching on any online video player and especially when i download files via IDM or chrome/firefox ( from 10kb/s to 50kb/s ) but when i use utorrent i get my normal download speed which is 3.5MB/s

. i restarted my modem/router/laptop more than once
. ran ccleaner,malwarebytes and found nothing
. restarted my wireless adapter
. i tried downloading from different sites but still same issue


i have windows 7 64bit on a i7/6gb ram laptop using wireless only

Note: as far as i know i dont think my issue is related with the internet provider since i still can download using utorrent with max

Hello Faysal,

Have you checked your internet browser for malicious software or ad-dons?

Have you tried resetting your internet settings to the defaults?

What browser are you using?

Thank you @joel for the fast answer,
mostly i use chrome as my default browser and i scanned and removed all addons and kept only adblock.
i believe i never made any reset on my internet settings but i will reset my internet explorer and chrome to default and feedback

Chrome uses IE Internet settings. If you reset IE settings it will also reset Chrome not including the ad-dons/extensions. It could also be your system specs too. Most websites nowadays use a lot of system resources which could be slowing down the web browser.

Thank you again @joel i will try to reset my internet explorer sittings to default and see how it goes but my issues is that any download related to websites or http if thats what its called is slow because all browsers i use explorer/chrome/firefox or even apps like Internet download manager have same download speed (10kb to 50 max) while torrent apps can go up to 3.5mb/s
