I recently got a EPOX 8KHA+ mobo, and installed Windows XP. After I installed it, I installed the VIA 4in1 drivers 4.33A that came with on a cdrom. After, I installed it I got an Query Registry Error. Contact Manufacturer. I am not sure how to fix it, I installed the newest 4.35 version. I think I might have installed an older version than what XP installed....not sure.....

v4.35 is the newest version, and there isn't a way you installed an older version than XP. You did the right thing...

They actually say that XP is supposed to ship with a newest version of the 4-1's, and that it is not supposed to be necessary TO intall the 4-1's, though it could be what they were talking about in a few other threads with the NVidia drivers.

Which card are you running?

To Be or Not to be... DAMN but that is confusing!

The 4in1 drivers included in WinXP are v4.33. When I installed the 4.35, it slowed down my HD performance. So, when I clean installed it, I didn't update it and it's running just great...

Newest version 4.36, just released. Supposedly an IDE fix included. But hey, if it ain't broken, don't fix it. :)

Right. Remember how I was saying that 4.35 slowed me down? I'm hoping this'll be better. Gonna install it and see what happens...

I'll post my results.

That's a big jump. What graphics card do you have?

AMD technology + Intel technology = Intel/AMD Pentathlon IV; the ULTIMATE PC processor

Wow...look what happens when I don't keep track of some threads...

That's awesome, man! I don't really test my hardware, since I don't do much but surf the internet, download mp3s, and homework (sometimes). heh heh heh
