My work computer is struggling to display big files in video editing and I was wondering if you could suggest some improvements to the specs.

I use Sony Vegas Pro 11 to do multicam editing (multicam editing is when you display a preview of several cameras and "live switch" them... click between to choose which is shown). The footage is often 4K, coming from newer, high end HD cameras (Panasonic GH4, Sony A7Sii). The camera guy said they are 10bit .mov files. 100mb/s bit rate.

System specs

Windows 7
Intel(R)Core(TM)i7-4770K CPU @3.50ghz
32gb Ram
Nvidia Quadro K200

Im guessing the issue is with the K200, could anyone recommend a card (if thats the problem) doesnt matter Nvidia or AMD just has the get the job done.

I think GTX 960 would be ideal here, you might still get stuttering/choppiness with a GTX 750 Ti. Based on my research users with a GTX 770 see much better playback performance when comparing to a GTX 750 Ti, which from first hand I would've expected to do just fine. Also make sure your OS runs on a different drive to where your Sony Vegas is installed. This also helps performance I think.

Sorry had some bad information, the video card that is in the computer is a K2000.

Ive been reading up on vegas and it seems to work better with amd cards or older 500 series nvidia cards vs newer 900 series cards.
