Wow, love the switching from 1st/3rd person, cool concept. Hope they make the Hyper Beam badass in the scene where Samus fights motherbrain. Memories of the Snes!! 🙁

Ridley looks like a Pokemon monster...

I like the return to 3rd person mixed with some 1st person, but the graphics need a darker feel.

Overall, the shift to include 3D gameplay akin to Super Metroid looks seamless. Of course, knowing team NINJA, I'd have expected nothing less. Looks like they'll fail to disappoint, once again.

You'd get a warrior who'd remove their entire suit at the end of the game, but infuriatingly enough would always do it where you couldn't see.

The graphics do look a little on the soft side, but the game play looks killer!

Looks badass. I'm gonna have take over my wife's wii for while.
I didn't know the wii was capable of such High end graphics.

It actually has been; the lower power it has compared to the 360 and PS3 is mostly-offset by the fact that because it can't do high-def resolutions, (or AA!) it doesn't have to spend power on 'em. You can see impressive results with The Conduit as well. One must remember that even at worst, the Wii's still a bit of a step above the original Xbox, which didn't look shabby itself.

'course, CAN do high-end graphics, and games HAVING them are two different things. With the 360 and PS3, people expect decent graphics, so developers have to put into it automatically. People expect crappy shovelware with little effort put into it on the Wii... So developers don't have much of a bar to pass. So we have tons of Wii games that look utterly crappy.

I've still never played a Metroid game (though, for some reason, I've had a Metroid for Gameboy colour on my desk for 3 years).

So AWESOME. A little disappointing though, as the old trailer suggested a more God of War feel... look it up on youtube, you'll see what I mean.

If Samus and Master Chief had a baby, and Wolverine and Jean Grey had a baby, then those two babies had a baby, it would be the most awesome thing ever. I think the military is working on that as we speak.

Why is there a 720p Youtube option? I thought the Wii only did 480p? Unless they used an emulator, which would b very funny.

That looks fun. Interesting change from the Metriod Prime games. The first two made me glad I got the GameCube, but I haven't played the 3rd one (no wii and all). Anyway, I would like to see if this game will be as fun as the trailer makes it out to be.

The world will NEVER be ready for that sort of thing. It must be stopped!

That's because displayed video resolution doesn't necessarily match render resolution. As you might know, most Youtube videos are sagged with tons of visual artifacts due to the extensive compression they use; obviously, 480p does NOT reach anywhere near the maximum of 9.8mbps that DVD-quality video can reach.

Hence, while the game's resolution caps at 720x480, you may want to save it as a higher-resolution compressed video, to ensure that you don't blur it up with compression artifacts. If you look, you might notice that the "720p HD" version doesn't use the full resolution, but looks more crisp. Similarly, I recall seeing some 1080p YouTube videos of Xbox 360 games that only reach 720p on the console, yet look better than the 720p versions for the exact same reason.
