Videos show on camera but sd card says empty when in computer.

I have several videos I took and I can see them on my camera. When I plug in my ad card to a computer it shows up as empty. I have also tried connecting the camera directly to the computer with a USB cord and it still says it's empty. Why can't I find the videos when I can see them on the camera?

Does the camera have any internal memory? If yes, when the camera is connected to the computer are you only looking at the SD card? When you put the SD card in the card reader (computer) what folders, if any, do you see? What format were the videos shot in (.mp4, AVCHD, .mov, etc.)?
