Videos start lagging after 30minutes of watching

Hi everyone,

I have this weird issue with my Asus laptop, whenever I've been watching a video for more than 30 minutes the audio and/or video starts to desync and lag. It'll work in another video player (switching between VLC and MPC) for a few minutes after that but then it happens to both. The only way to fix it is to wait a long time (1+ hour) and then watch the rest of the video.

Does anyone know how to fix this? The laptop does not slow down or lag at all during this time, everything is working fine but it's just the problem with video playback.

I have not, I'll track it next time. Not sure if that would cause it though as I go for hours of gaming without any problems whatsoever.

GPU temp stays at normal (37-39) - I can do a quick restart to fix it for another 20-30min but still no clue as to what's causing the issue.
