Dudes + Dudesses:
I've got a USB Infrared adapter that i want to use to communicate with a remote control , but the software i've got looks towards the com ports for data transfer. As the infrared device is USB, obviously this causes problems.
Rather than buy a converter cable- usb to rs323 seems a bit of a step backwards - i was wondering if anyone had *any* ideas about a sort of emulator that makes the usb device look like its resident on one of the com ports, like a virtual adapter, or something.
Any ideas would be gratefully received.
