Volume always on top

Hi all,

on my Ipaq 3900 I have a problem.
The volume is always on top (maximum).
Of course, the volume on the top of the today screen is not.
This PPC has been Hard reseted 2 days ago, and the same problem occurs.

When I play MP3 with any MP3 players : always on top, even if I change the
volume with the help of the MP3 soft.
When I watch some video with WMP or any other video viewers : same problem.
When I test the sound in the "notification" screen in settings : same
problem ...

Can someone helps me please ?

FYI : I went on HP/compaq site, but nothing was find about this !

if you've tried hard reset and the problem still exists before loading any
3rd party software it sounds like a hardware problem. since this is an
older unit did you buy it used (if you did you got screwed) or did this
problem just occur?
