Hi,

My boss has finally given me the go ahead and we are getting
8700k
2 * 8GB HyperX 3600MHz
1080Ti

We already have
Topower Power Train 1500W PSU (Model Top-1500W www.topower.com.tw) with 8 pin motherboard connector
Corsair H80 water cooler

So it just leaves the motherboard decision, we want to overclock within the limits of the current equipment but to the best we can
We can get the following mobos
ASROCK Z370 PROFESIONAL Gaming: 214,20
ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING: 195,74
GIGABYTE GA-Z370 AORUS Gaming 5: 191,17
ASROCK Z370 TAICHI: 181,60
ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-F GAMING: 181,48
MSI Z370 GAMING PRO CARBON: 179,15

ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-G GAM WiFi AC: 169,28
ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-H GAMING: 163,67
ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-G GAMING: 157,35
ASUS PRIME Z370-A: 149,97

GIGABYTE GA-Z370-HD3P: 126,35
ASUS PRIME Z370-P: 107,14
GIGABYTE GA-Z370-HD3: 101,98

I have read the ASRock extreme4 is one of the best for overclocking but I cant get that where I live and he wants it done asap now so it has to be one from this list

Do I just go for one of the most expensive ones or will that be total overkill?

Thanks

For my money, I would get the MSI Gaming Pro Carbon. It has a bit better feature set, and more stability for overclocking your 8700K. Alternately, the Gigabyte Gaming 5 or 7 are both solid choices (lean towards 7 with your processor/GPU combo).
