Solved! Wdtv media player can't recognize my drives.

I have a WDTV media player and 3 x 2tb drives full of movies and shows. When I plug in the USB's the player only ever recognizes two of the drives. I have tried using a powered USB hub. Presumably there is too much info on the drives. I live on a boat so don't have internet to stream movies. Are there any other players out there that will handle this much storage? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This media player likes the drives formatted in Fat32 ... which might explain your issue.

WD hasn't supported their media players for quite some time so it might be time to switch to an android box (or Apple TV). A small footprint PC or Mac mini might be good. If you keep a laptop around anyway add an air mouse or wireless keyboard mouse.

Aren't these boxes for streaming? I don't have internet.
