webcam not working (toshiba)

recently i upgraded to windows 10 and everything was fine, then a few days later the web camera stopped working i have tried updating the driver, uninstalling and installing it, restarting the computer, basically all the methods but nothing works. When i go in to device manager and go under imaging devices chicony usb 2.0 camera is grayed out and it says: "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)
To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer." but i cant since the camera is built into my laptop which is a toshiba satellite l655 - s5117. Please help i really need the camera to work by tomorrow afternoon because i have an online job interview.

It might be disabled in bios or by a hotkey? Toshiba typically has a tool to switch it on and off.

Do you have the Toshiba Drivers Update Utility? If not, download and install it. Windows doesn't see the webcam, just want to see if the utility does.
