My MSI GT70 is having weird battery/adapter/jack problems. My dog pulled the charger from the jack quite quickly when passing by and now I'm having problems.
What I'm seeing:
Appears to be on AC, but not charging.
When on AC, percentage of battery left does not change.
When the battery is removed and I try to boot on AC alone, the computer starts and begins to boot but stops after about 5 seconds.
Removing the battery for at least 10 minutes while shutting down the computer does not change anything.
Restarting the computer does not change anything.
I don't know how to calibrate the battery and I was never given advice to do so (despite it being quite necessary for proper battery function, thanks MSI.) and I'm at a loss at what to do.
I'm really worried it might be the jack/motherboard. I can't afford to repair my laptop and the warranty ended two months ago. I have no soldering equipment or experience. This is what I get for a gaming laptop.
