What to know how to mirror my smartphone on my 32" flatscreen dynex tv using a mph by hdmi adapter I get nothing and don't know what I may be doing wrong

Should not need to do anything aside from switch to the right HDMI input. If you have issues, try a different HDMI connection and maybe try with a different TV. Did you read the instructions for your phone to make sure you don't need to do anything there?
