What cds do i need to format a dell laptop vista inspiron1525

I had to format from the start, put in the disk named Operating System got so far then Administrator X:\windows\system 32\cmd exe. come up what can I do..

What type of disc do you have? Does it have a Dell label on it? Does it say Installation or Restore?
