What is a good 3D TV?

I'm in the market for a 46in or 50in 3D capable plasma or LCD TV that is currently out or will be in the near future. I have not been able to find any that seem to work for me and im not sure if some tvs are 3D or not. The Panasonic TH-46PZ85U looks like a good tv but im not sure if it is 3D or not and im not sure if there is better in its price range which is $1000 to $2500.
Also is the 3D on these types of TVs near theater quality or is it really bad?

Any help would be appreciated!

In all honesty if you are in the market for a new TV that is 3D capable, I highly advise you wait a little while. Wait for the technology to mature a little and you'll find a much better TV for probably a much better price than what you'd get right now.

I don't have my eyes on any specific models yet. I've learned not to do that when new TV tech hits because I always get disappointed with some of them.

Sony, Samsung and LG do have good reputations for making quality products early with new TV tech.
