What kind of audio out port is this on my tv?

What kind of audio out port is this on my tv? What could I plug into it if its too small for my 3.5mm headphones but looks too big for a 2.5mm?

Looks like an SPDIF or optical port,probably for connecting to a sound bar.

Optical out usually has a square opening with the lower corners angled in with a cover to keep out dust. Looks like the analog audio out on my Samsung plasma TV. Are you sure a 3.5mm mini plug doesn't fit.

Yeah its not an optical out. That port is on there and not what I took a pic of. I also have a Samsung smart tv. I tried to put a 3.5mm in and I got it in there after pushing it in pretty forcefully, but no audio came into headphones and TV speaker still played audio. Then it was even harder to get out, thought I was gonna break my tv.

Ok nevermind maybe it didn't like the size of one of my headphone jacks, I tried a different pair and it indeed does work for 3.5mm, just a tight fit. Thank you.
