I have a lenovo v570. It has an i5 processor. It is 6 months old. I am having a fan problem. Loading a website, however small, will cause the fan to suddenly kick to life and rotate with such a high speed the it produces a noise which is unbearable and drives me crazy. Then it quietens down. I mean surely loading webpages is not such a huge task to overclock the processor ? Also I have noticed the processor is not extremely hot. In fact it is just slightly warm as in normal working laptops. I really want to stop the sporadic outburst of the fan which drive me crazy.
Also when I play movies in vlc which take about 10% cpu power, the run runs so quickly. The movies are not HD. Surely an i5 processor is bigger than that.
I would really like a way to tone down the fan noise if possible.
