when i put the sd on my tablet it lets me know but when i try to download stuff its says that i dont have alot of space left a

Make sure your SD mem card is formatted the correct way for the table.
Depending on hardware you might need to initiate the SD card somehow in the settings?

Since tablet model aint specified i suggest you go to the companys website and check the manual there or ask for help

downloads dont normally go to the external SD card but rather to an internal one.

Since you dont list which tablet or OS you are using, we cant help you find out if you can change the download location or not.
