Hey I am a looking for a computer for my wife. I was going to buy a ASUS G73JW-XN1 a while ago then my company bought a bunch of Asus G51VX-RX05 for us to use, so I did not buy one. Now my wife needs a computer and I was looking for a nice one to max out WOW and Fallout New Vegas. I was looking at the long term for her also. Her current computer is 5 years old, lol. I would like to stay under $1000 but I can cannot find something for that cheap that I like. I was looking at: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220834 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834214051 Both are a little over my budget, it is for my wife so if I don't get something good.... well it will not be fun.

If anyone has any suggestions on a computer under $1000 that has a good GPU and i7 with a 17" or bigger screen I would like to hear them.

Thanks

Between the G73 and the Qosmio, performance will be pretty similar since both have an i7 Quad and GTX 460M. I personally feel that the G73 looks a heck of a lot better and it would be my choice.

Also, take a look at this Sager NP8690: http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np8690-built-clevo-w860cu-custom-gaming-laptop-p-2659.html

The base config comes with an i5-460M, GTX 460M, Full HD screen and 4gb of RAM for around $1200 (you'll also need to select an OS). So all told it will fall in between the Asus and the Qosmio in terms of price.

Asus G73 would be a better buy as ur budget is very tight to find a gud laptop fulfilling ur requirements.

Maybe some one will find a gud deal some where with all the requirements u asked. though for gaming it dont require an i7, i5 will be more then fine until it have a gud GPU and fast hdd/ram.

Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q892
