I need to buy a new laptop, and i found two feasible options:
http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-X201E-DH01-11-6-Inch-Laptop-Black/dp/B009F1I16K/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1378251745&sr=8-2&keywords=asus+ubuntu
and
http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-X202E-DB21T-11-6-Inch-Touchscreen-Laptop/dp/B00CWISC5I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1378251674&sr=8-1&keywords=asus+11%22

I want to know which is better. I don't care that one has windows 8, i can easily change that.

If you have a better suggest please put bellow. MY needed specs are: $GB ram, needs to weigh under 5 pounds, and under $500s preferable less.

Thanks,
tahdas

Solution
Pentiums are more powerful than Celerons.

The Intel HD graphics core should be sufficient for your needs include TF2 as long as expectations are low.

Hi,

Your 2 links are the same.

Usually: pentium > celeron if they are the same generation. If you compare a pentium 4 to a new generation of core i3 celeron architecture, the celeron would be better .

Asus are the best laptops around but laptop are usually not build to last.
What do you plan to do with the laptops: modern gaming is a no no with them

Thanks, sorry about that.

What do i plan on doing on it? Heres a list:
Writing. i'll be running some programs other than Libre office for script writing.
Web browsing. Google chrome.
Videos. Usually nothing HD, netflix, ETC.
In-Browser Gaming. Light stuff, sites like armorgames and miniclip.
Maybe some light photo editing.
Email.
If its possible id like to be able to run TF2 via steam, but thats not essential.

Thanks so much,
tahdas

Go with the Pentium laptop. I have had lots of experience with Pentiums and they have proven to be able to run all that you asked for. But to run. TF2 you may need to set the DirectX level to DirectX 8. You should also be able to do light gaming with it.
