Hi all,

I've decided between the two machines listed below based on my budget ($350 max) and needs, and just want people's opinions on whether one is better than the other and why. I only need a VERY basic machine to do some web browsing, streaming videos, listening to music (Spotify and Pandora), and writing/editing documents. Both machines offer ways to achieve these needs without issue.

Please see the machine links below:

Toshiba Chromebook 2 CB35-C3300 (http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B015806LMM?colid=2MR9IZAMBN988&coliid=IY8B1UZSZHCST&psc=1&ref_=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl)

HP Stream 13 (http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B015CQ8RO2?colid=2MR9IZAMBN988&coliid=I3S73QPH5M7I34&psc=1&ref_=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl)

Anyone have a good reason to go with one vs the other? Do you think it's important to keep the PC capabilities with the HP Stream 13? Or does the Toshiba Chromebook 2, with the full HD display, etc., seem like the better machine? Again - this is just going to be a travel computer, nothing special and nothing heavy duty. All web- and app-based needs.

Thanks for the input! Y'all are amazing here.

The Toshiba Chromebook is way better. Full HD, 4 gigs of RAM, and a better processor. You do need to pay 100$ more, though.

Yeah, I was prepared for the price jump. I was just making sure I wasn't being "attracted" to the "prettier" machine. Thanks for the vote!

No problem.
