Which of these are faster, and by how much?

AMD Turion™ Neo X2 Dual-Core Mobile Processor (1.6GHz)
or
Intel Core2 Duo processor SU7300 (1.3GHz)

thanks!

Actually, if you go to the direct comparison list (which I couldn't link) the two CPUs are very comparable. The Core2 edges the Neo out in 6 benchmarks, ties 1 and loses 3. Except in 3Dmark06, the wins for the Core2 aren't by staggering numbers.

Honestly I'd say this comes down to price and other specs.

I am leaning strongly toward the Asus, only concern was the cpu which sounded weak cause it's 1.3. I know that 1.3 of one can be faster than 2.3 of another, I'm just very not up to date on CPUs now

The Dell.
1. Max 4 GB Ram and I need to have the option to go to 8
2. Much more money - once you bring it to 4GB, and one year accidental insurance
3. And - most important - I don't see the weight which is very important to me.

Since I posted the msg I spoke to dell they told me it starts a 4.0 lbs.
But otherwise it looks nice only big problem I have with it is the 4GB limitation, which is a problem for me. For a 2 GB notebook this is a great price.

That's probably with the adapter. If it's not up to your needs, I won't push it.

As far as the CPUs go, if all you are planning on doing is surfing the web, email and some MS Office type stuff then either the Asus or the Toshiba will be fine.
