I mostly play mw2 and mw3. I want to record my game video to show to my friends. I tried fraps but it recorded 1 min video of 4.97gb and my game also lagged very much. I play at resolution 1600*1200. While recording with fraps my fps decreased from 280 to 34-39. So is there any software which don't effect my fps and also records in small size and great quality

My pc specs are

Intel core i5 2500 3.3ghz
Ram 4gb kingston
Hdd 500gb wd
Ati 6770 1gb ddr5
Windows 7 64-bit

I use bandicam to record. The free version has a 10 minute time limit per video but the quality is fantastic. There's also a watermark at the top of the screen but it's small. The file sizes are going to be large if you record in avi. The full version is around $45, but there's no watermark and no time limit.

I use Freemake video converter to convert the avi files to mp4. It turns a 3-4 gb 10 minute video into around 300 mb at 1080p, and it's free.

It will still hit your fps while recording though it shouldn't be as drastic as fraps is for you. If I'm getting around 60 fps not recording I get around 30 fps while recording.

If you want to see what a video looks like recorded with these tools here's a video of borderlands on youtube made with the free version of bandicam.

I have switched from msi afterburner to open broadcaster software as it splice two sources of video for you on the fly at once and is once again, free. This, for me, alleviates the need for editing software as well.
