Which part of ribbon cable controls C-band reception?

Does anyone know what color wire in the ribbon cable coming from the dish
controls C-band reception? I have some cuts in the cable from an aeration
that the lawn company did. Ku-band is working fine and the actuator is
moving properly - not getting the "no pulse" message. I tried replacing the
C-band LNB with an old one that I had that was working when I replaced it a
few years ago, but no change. I'm not getting any signal at all on C - zero
readings all around. I have a 905 hooked up to my Drake 1824. The 905 is not
getting anything either. Everything was working before the cuts. There are
four wires in the one section that appears to be affected - a red, white,
green and brown wire in the part that's cut. It seems like a very minor
cut - just a nick really.
Can I just strip the wire and twist it together, making sure the wires are
not touching?

Try moving the cable attached to you Ku band LNB to the C-band LNB. Oh and
also move it on your reciever too from Ku to C-band. If you get a signal on
C-band then you know the other cable is damaged.

All other cables control polarity and dish position. It is the cable with
the wire down the center of the white(or should be) insulation that carries
the radio frequency signals the reciever uses for your audio and video.
These are the two cables that go to your Ku and C-band LNBs.

For testing you can, long term, you should seal them up good.

There are 2 sets of "control" wires, the one for the actuator, which
usually has 5 wires, two being heavyish (IME usually 18 guage), for
power to the motor, the lighter ones the feedback. The other wire is
a 3 wire cable for the polarotor motor You also have the LNB coaxes.
They usually cannot be spliced well outside..
