Does anyone know what color wire in the ribbon cable coming from the dish
controls C-band reception? I have some cuts in the cable from an aeration
that the lawn company did. Ku-band is working fine and the actuator is
moving properly - not getting the "no pulse" message. I tried replacing the
C-band LNB with an old one that I had that was working when I replaced it a
few years ago, but no change. I'm not getting any signal at all on C - zero
readings all around. I have a 905 hooked up to my Drake 1824. The 905 is not
getting anything either. Everything was working before the cuts. There are
four wires in the one section that appears to be affected - a red, white,
green and brown wire in the part that's cut. It seems like a very minor
cut - just a nick really.
Can I just strip the wire and twist it together, making sure the wires are
not touching?
