Why does my Acer Aspire one keyboard randomly stop working?

Why does my Acer Aspire one keyboard randomly stop working? If I restart my computer it works again but eventually it stops working again after using it after a random period of time. Sometimes I have to restart it twice for it to start working again.

It sounds like either the data cable or the keyboard itself is on its last leg. If you're confident with doing so, you can disconnect said cable and reseat it. You may also try uninstalling the keyboard driver, then reboot the system, though I don't think that will address the problem you're experiencing.

You may end up needing to replace the keyboard altogether, lauren.
