why does my lap top delete downloaded movies after its turned on again

its very annoying, but after my computer is turned on again, the movies I downloaded are no longer there. I would download and see the file there. the next day it is gone. Is this some sort of setting feature that is set and can be changed? thank you

It does not delete anything, you need to check how you are downloading and where. Most of the time people either don't actually start the download, or they download to some temp or default place and can't find it again. Need some details as to what you are downloading and how.

And keep in mind that it's against forum rules to help with illegal downloads so if you are trying to save torrents of ripped movies, you need to look elsewhere for help.
