Why does my Lenovo Y580 get so hot?

Hello,
I know that a major problem that most people are saying about the Y580 is the temperature of the harddrive, while mine does get hot while I game, I never go over the 60 C mark, I rarely go over 55 C. However, my processor and mobo are what are scaring me in terms of temperature. My processor when running games like CS:GO, Dota 2, ends up running close to 90 C no matter what, then when I close the game it drops back down to around 60 almost instantly. I am using a laptop cooler. Any idea's on what to do? Should I get a new laptop cooler?

Solution
that is completely fine and normal temps. i have had 4 laptops with i7s in them across all 3 generations and they all ran above 85-90 max temps. they were all different brands as well.

90C??? wow that's alarming. what temperature reader are you using?
Can you feel the processor heatsink fans blowing hot air? Ivy processors are known to be hot since heat is concentrated to a smaller die. Was searching about i7 3610QM, there are some similar questions about what you are asking. That might be normal...

Hey, thanks for the reply. I can feel hot air coming out of the GPU's exhaust, but that's only when I am playing a game. Also I'm using CPUID Hardware Monitor

The temperature of the mobo tends to get up to 90 C as well when I play games. Right now, with only pandora and other websites running, temps are [Mobo: 53] [CPU Avg:52 ] [Harddrive: 46] [GTX660m: 41]

How long did those laptops end up lasting you? Or are they still running fine?

My GPU is not my concern, its my CPU, but I appreciate the feedback.

Or maybe its dirty.Check to see if the vent where its sucking air is not plugged up.You should probably open it up and clean it if you had it for more then half a year.

I've had one for two years with the cpu at 100% load for over 6 months straight and it's just fine. Others I got rid of cause I didn't like them
